When Moses encountered God, his face became radiant. This is true for us too, we may not have a physical radiance, but when we live in the Spirit, those around us will notice something different, because the fruits of the Holy Spirit will be evident in our actions, we will be peaceful, joyful and patient. Our actions and witness to Jesus, will have an influence on the lives of our friends and family members. What is the treasure buried in the field? What is the fine pearl? Isn’t it the gift of the Holy Spirit? In our spiritual lives, when we have a fresh anointing and receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, we receive this great treasure, a pearl of great price. How do we live after that? Do we let go of other things and hold onto the treasure of the Holy Spirit? Do we give him the first place in our lives? Or do we fall back to our former ways of living, and pray to the Spirit only when we need something? Let us reconsider our priorities, let God be the centre.
Prayer: Abba Father, as I place you at the centre of my life, may I become a radiant witness of your love. Amen.
