Ezra is found repenting before God for the wrong done by the people. He takes it upon himself to kneel down before the Almighty and declare the sin- fulness of the people. As He declares the sinfulness , his eyes are opened to the goodness of God. Despite his seemingly abandonment of his people, God has allowed the survivors to settle in the city, he has given them joy and life. He has allowed them to rebuild the walls of the city and given them support from the King of Persia. This was the kingdom news the disciples were sent to declare as given to them by our Lord Jesus. Despite being under the Roman governance, the Lord was blessing them with healings, love, joy and strength in their suffering, The Good news was being given freely to liberate the people . Today in these times we are offered the Good News of God’s love and mercy for us. He is willing to build the walls of protection around us, forgive and restore us and offer us salvation.
Prayer: Abba Father, I receive the Good news of the kingdom into my spirit. I accept the love, mercy and peace of my Lord into my heart. Amen
