We need God’s saving power because when we do not give Him glory and honour we lose ourselves in our own reasoning and darkness fills our minds. We live in a world which is depraved and has given into sinful indulgences and have let evil take control. We reach such state of blindness when we suppress the truth by our wickedness and live life the way we think we should and not allowing God to take control. Where do we stand in our relationship with God? Are we still pretending to do the will of God by merely concentrating on the externals as the Pharisees did? Or have we touched the depths of God by accepting our sinfulness and giving Him the truth of our hearts? Let us repent and allow Him to wash us with His precious blood and water that pours out from His side cleansing and healing us with His forgiveness. Then we can say “I am a new creation, the old has gone, the new is here” 2 Corinthians 5:17
