Today we renew our faith in the most Holy Eucharist, instituted by the Lord as a memorial of His passion and death. Christ comes to live inside of us as we receive His presence in the Holy Eucharist. I have seen my own brokenness dealt with and inner wounds healed as I sit with the Lord at the Blessed Sacrament. “The Lord having loved them to the end, knowing that the hour has come…washed their feet and gave them the commandment to love. In order to leave them a pledge of his love…never to depart from his own…he instituted the Eucharist as a memorial of His death and resurrection and commanded His apostles to celebrate it until His return.” (CCC 1337). The Last Supper gives the ultimate meaning to the Jewish Pass- over. When we apply Christ’s precious blood over our lives in submission to the Lord, we are redeemed, saved and protected and then we are called to demonstrate servant leadership, reflecting the Father’s heart, where we first came from and are journeying towards.
