In today’s readings we talk about the blessed hope: of the day the Lord comes again. It takes away the fear of death knowing what God has promised in the past and how he carried out those plans. We do not know when God will come to us, we do not know why something happens to us, or simply we do not know when the end of time is or when we are going to die. The Gospel proclamation reminds us of the choices we make every day. They can be simple or complicated. God says in his Word that he wants us to live life to the fullest and if we make choices and decisions wisely then we would not have to be fearful of dying or his Second Coming. He wants us to trust him and his plans for our life. If we strive to love each other and make wise choices, the gates of heaven will be wide open and Jesus will be waiting for us and he will welcome us with open and loving arms. It is our decision to make. What will we choose? Let us commit our choices each
day to the Lord.
Prayer: Abba Father, may I choose to follow you everyday. Amen.
