Like Nathanael we are called to be open to God’s revelation. Our calling is to be righteous by loving God and our brothers and sisters. Today Jesus looks into our hearts and gives us a promise. He will open the gates of heaven to those who prayerfully seek him. He will accompany us through every circum- stance and situation in our lives. We will see angels coming and going from heaven as he promised to Nathanael. There can be peace and joy amid chaos and suffering because he is with us. There is purpose and meaning even in suffering. Looking at the cross we see it. We know who we are: we are children of God. We know where we came from: from the heart of God and we know where we are going: back to the heart of God and we joyfully complete the mission he has given us in the power of the Holy Spirit till we see him face to face. Let us open our hearts to this revelation and seek his grace to be aware of this reality. Let our actions show the world, that we are children of God.
