God will not abandon us
  • Isaiah 10:5-7, 13-16
  • Psalm 94:5-10,14-15
  • Matthew 11:25-27

When we reflect on the state of our world today, we recognize the urgent need to listen to God’s word. In the First reading, we can see that we may face pain and suffering because of the global crisis around us, but, we are still being blessed with God’s love and mercy and we have hope and trust in God for his providence for the future. The Psalmist reminds us that God will not abandon us or turn his back on the widows or the fatherless but he gives justice to the afflicted. So, if God is for us, who can be against us to stop our growth each day. This is the reassurance God gives us. The Gospel acclamation confirms that he will protect us and our inheritance and reveal what is within our birth right as children of God the Father. When we have a relationship with Abba Father, we can see and experience these miracles taking place in our lives because God will bless us with hope and creative solutions in impossible situations.

PRAYER: Abba Father, we claim our inheritance in your kingdom. May we not be caught up in worldly things. Amen.
