Today, our response to the psalm is, “How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord, mighty God!”. God’s presence is so lovely. He invites us with yet another parable of the Kingdom of God, commonly known as the Parable of the Good and the Evil, which relates to sowing good seeds and evil growing alongside the good. This parable helps us to understand the nature of the world in which we live, filled with good and evil. It highlights the essential teaching of Jesus to be patient, have faith, to trust in the divine providence of God and to allow the weeds to grow alongside the wheat until the harvest. It also teaches us that God’s timing is perfect. Today’s Gospel reading challenges us to reflect on the coexistence of good and evil. It shows the spiritual battlefield where God is with us with his patience and mercy. We need discernment and patience in dealing with others. Let us humbly welcome the Word planted in us and allow him to establish his dwelling place among us.
PRAYER: Abba Father, thank you for your constant presence in our day-to-day journey. Amen.
