A meaningful life with a purpose
  • Ecclesiastes 1:2-11
  • Psalm 90:3-6,12-14,17
  • Luke 9:7-9

For many, life is short and useless. It is meaningless when we face unexpected problems, sicknesses, calamities, disasters and various other challenges without God. But if we are in the Lord and see through his eyes we see how beautiful life is and we will see its purpose. The creator of the universe is our Father, and I am his child. I belong to God’s family and will live forever. Herod wanted to see Jesus not because he believed but because Jesus was a challenge to him and his way of life. We too seek Jesus for various reasons. When that particular need is met we draw away from him. Today he is inviting us to come to him and be connected, like the branches of the vine. Let us believe in his promise in John 15:5-6 that if we remain in him, he remains in us and we will bear fruit. Then we will remain in his word and be strengthened to face life’s struggles and come out victorious because of him. Then we will understand the deep meaning of it all. May our lives bring glory to God our Father.

PRAYER: Abba Father, let me daily seek your face and be connected to you. Amen.
