Power of God’s Grace
  • Titus 3:1-7
  • Psalm 23:1-6
  • Luke 17:11-19

St. Paul emphasizes the importance of living as obedient citizens and avoiding slander, malice and arrogance. He reminds believers of their past state of sinfulness and the transformative power of God’s grace through Jesus. This passage shows the necessity of good works as evidence of genuine faith, not as a means of earning salvation but as a response to God’s saving grace. Jesus encounters ten lepers who cry out for mercy. He heals them all, but only one, returns to thank him. This account highlights the importance of gratitude and the recognition of God’s blessings in our lives. It also challenges us to reflect on our response to God’s grace are we quick to ask for help but slow to express gratitude? Do we recognize the source of our blessings and respond with heartfelt thanks? Today’s readings challenge us to show kindness, compassion and thankfulness in all we do. Jesus is the source of our salvation and the example of how we should live in response to God’s grace.

PRAYER: Abba Father, may I develop an attitude of gratitude. Amen.
