Transformative Experience
  • Revelation 3:1-6,14-22
  • Psalm 15:2-5
  • Luke 19:1-10

Today’s first reading emphasizes the importance of genuine faith and wholehearted devotion to Christ, warning against complacency and lukewarmness. In Sardis, despite appearing alive, the church is spiritually dead, while in Laodicea, self-sufficiency and materialism blind believers to their spiritual poverty. The Gospel reading recounts the transformative encounter between Jesus and Zacchaeus, highlighting the power of redemption and the radical impact of encountering Christ. Zacchaeus’ repentance and restitution demonstrate the transformative power of encountering Jesus, illustrating the depth of God’s grace and the potential for radical life change. These readings show the need for spiritual awakening, sincere repentance and renewal. They challenge us to examine our hearts and strive for faith that bears fruit in love and obedience. Let us respond wholeheartedly to Jesus’s invitation, allowing his grace to transform us from within and empower us to live lives that honor him.

PRAYER: Abba Father, may my life be transformed by your love. Amen.
