The Wedding of the Lamb
  • Revelation 18:1-2; 21-23; 19:1-3,9
  • Psalm 100:1-5
  • Luke 21:20-28

Let us reflect on the second coming of our Lord Jesus. Many are leaving a sinful path of destruction and greed. Will it be the same when our Lord Jesus comes into the world? The coming of Jesus is the wedding feast of the Lamb. Are we prepared for the wedding feast? Jesus is the Lamb, who we must glorify and adore because we are his people and he is faithful to us and our generations. We are called to give thanks and to be joyful when we enter his gates. At each Mass, we are reminded: Behold the Lamb of God who takes away our sins. In the gospel of Luke, Jesus is reminding us that the end times are near. We can see in the world around us how people and nations are resembling what we have been foretold at the beginning of Jesus’ time. We can see the destruction happening around us. Many have lost sight of God and given into sin. How about us? Are we different? Are we ready to receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour?

PRAYER: Abba Father, give us the grace to prepare our hearts for the wedding feast of the Lamb. Amen.
