God has given us an amazing promise in the first reading. Don’t we wish to see our loved ones prosper? According to the promises of God, prosperity is not limited to this world. God’s prosperity is eternal inheritance. What is the point of limiting our lives to living like kings or queens in the world but be doomed eternally? The wisdom of God is unfathomable to humanity. The Cross that was said to be a curse became a blessing to the whole world. Therefore, God’s ways are higher than our puny and petite ways. The scripture says the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the sight of God. We could opt to live as wise people in the world; but we need to be careful, because without our knowledge we could get caught in a snare of the evil one. Let us live the commandments of God and gain prosperity both on earth and in heaven. Let us choose to live an accountable life and become true ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ as we journey in faith.
