Today’s first reading speaks of faith and patience in God and his promises. His promises are reliable. Let us hold on to his promises patiently and wait in surrender for his answer as he will never abandon us. Let us take a moment to think about our past and we will be able to see how the Lord guided us through impossible situations. He knows our every need and provides in accordance with his will. The Lord Jesus’ love binds us and makes us new in himself. He has chosen us freely, so we too are free to make him our priority. Therein lies the unshakable peace, joy and fullness of life we always crave for. Our love for God is seen in how we treat others. In our family, church and community we are called to serve one another: whether it be greeting them, reaching out, praying, encouraging, ministering to someone that’s downcast, bearing one another’s burdens or showing hospitality to another. May our lives be pleasing to God.
PRAYER: Abba Father, help me to rise above whatever may prevent me from loving you and serving others. Amen.
