Hope-filled chosen generation
  • Isaiah 43:16-21
  • Psalm 126:1-6
  • Philippians 3:8-14
  • John 8:1-11

God parted the sea for Moses to pass through along with God’s chosen people. Do we consider ourselves as God’s chosen? Do we consider ourselves as a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a people of God’s own possession (1 Pt 2:9)? From the day we were baptized we became his own, to be loved and cherished. How often have we found ourselves in a desperate situation as the Israelites at the mouth of the sea? How often have we felt those same emotions of despair only to be comforted by our Father. How many times have we witnessed our Lord parting the seas that we face in our own lives? He is the same God that was present at that moment, at this moment, and in the moments to come (Heb 13:8). God is constantly doing new things in our lives. He wants us to rely on him. The destiny of a person who loves the Lord, is in his hands. Because the love that a child of God has for the Lord, causes the person to behave in a manner that is pleasing to the Lord.

PRAYER: Abba Father, may we be a hope-filled chosen generation. Amen
