God’s beautiful Plan
  • Isaiah 49:1-6
  • Psalm 71:1-6, 15, 17
  • John 13:21-33, 36-38

Often, we forget that our time in this world lasts only until God calls us home. This time is temporary, designed to help us accumulate heavenly treasures and live in a way that pleases God. However, the temptations around us can sometimes overwhelm us, causing us to falter when facing life’s tests. When reading today’s Gospel, we might wonder why Judas betrayed Jesus or why Peter denied him. It is easy to judge others, but the truth is that we carry within us the potential for moments like those of Judas and Peter. We must remain vigilant to ensure these weaknesses do not overpower us. But we cannot do this alone. By living in the Spirit, we can safeguard ourselves from straying from the path the Father has laid out for us since the moment we were formed in our mother’s womb. Instead of blaming others for their wrongdoings, let us ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in shaping our lives so that we can face these trials while staying aligned with God’s plan for us.

PRAYER: Abba Father, thank you for the beautiful plan you have for us. Guide us to overcome temptation and keep us aligned with your plan. Amen.
