Our Lord came to the earth to draw us into a relationship with the Father. At every decisive moment, he looked up to heaven and called upon the Father. He spent hours with the Father before he came up with his plans. And so Peter rightly states that God was with Jesus enabling him to be anointed with the Holy Spirit. When Simon Peter and John visited the tomb, they found the burial cloths and an empty tomb. Our Lord had risen. The God who was with Jesus and our Lord who was in constant communion with the Father now want to be in constant communion with us. When we declare that ‘God is with us’ we believe that we are no longer alone in this world but we carry the living presence of God. As we celebrate Easter Sunday, we are reminded that God is with us and in us. We are no longer orphans and destitute people but loved and accompanied by God in all that we do, and say. Jesus is risen and he is with us in our journey to eternal life. Happy Easter!
PRAYER: Abba Father, we want to see Jesus lifted high. We want to see our Lord Jesus every step of the way. Amen.
