In the Octave of Christmas we celebrate the feast of the beloved apostle St John. In contrast to the Spirit of Christmas, the Gospel proclamation is about the Resurrection of Christ. It reminds us that we too are to be eager to witness to the great miracles that the Lord performs in our midst. Sometimes we expect huge miracles but fail to see the seemingly smaller miracles. How the Lord has kept us safe through the Pandemic, all of us are affected by it, but we have the spiritual courage to fight the good fight in faith. Christmas is not about Santa Claus and gifts, in these days following that great celebration, can we take some time to share the Good News with some of our neighbors? It does not mean preaching to them, but living a truly Christian way of life, which will inspire them to find out about Christ. Can we spend a few minutes and visit an estranged relative? Can we pickup the phone and call a long forgotten friend? Let us become channels for God’s grace to flow into others’ lives this Christmas.
Prayer: Abba Father, may my actions speak louder than words. Amen.
