As we journey on earth, at some point, the Lord in his mercy captured our hearts. We were transformed and were invited to follow in his footsteps. He revealed to us who He is. How great is his love and mercy towards us. But by the trend and the pattern of this life, we get drawn back to the earthly lifestyle. In our different walks of life, we easily get distracted from him and his plan due to many reasons. We may have his word and promises in our minds, we have seen his work in our lives, but often lacking something inside of us. Since we know him, we know it is the spirit that is yearning for him. But those who are unaware of his presence experience an emptiness within them. We may fit into either category. We also get bombarded with many worldly things. Whether it be information, knowledge, or different experiences. Let us ask the Lord to help us distinguish the wheat from the weed and make our hearts the home for His word and promises.

Prayer: Abba Father, as the rain waters the earth, send your Holy Spirit to water our hearts and spirits, for your word to bear fruit in our lives. Amen.
