Do not lose sight of God
  • Ephesians 2: 1-10
  • Psalm 100:1-5
  • Luke 12:13-21

Have we ever stopped to think how much love God has for us? We have such an amazing Father, who is compassionate, loving, merciful and forgiving. Our human nature is to resist his love because of our fallen natures. We are reminded of the promise that God gave us, although we were born sinners God brought his beloved son, Jesus into the world to give new life. We are ultimately his beloved children, and God will take care of our needs even when we are broken, rejected, abandoned and lonely. Let us praise God for meeting our needs and revealing new ways to deal with life. God reminds us that we do not need to be perfect because in our brokenness, we already inherit the kingdom of God. When we focus on our worldly existence, we lose sight of God and heaven. We get caught up in our sins, we become self-centred and focus on how much more we can achieve for status and position. But our Father still loves us and comes after us.

PRAYER: Abba Father, forgive us for being caught up in worldly possessions and positions. Amen.
