Wisdom is personified and depicted as a nurturing guide, offering protection and leading those who seek her to righteousness and understanding. Those who follow the path of wisdom, will be rewarded with honor and prosperity. However, wisdom requires perseverance and humility. The Gospel reading offers a complementary lesson. When John tells Jesus about someone casting out demons in his name, Jesus responds by saying not to stop them, as anyone not against them is for them. This teaches inclusivity and the recognition that good can come from various sources, even those outside one’s immediate circle. It shows the importance of unity and collaboration in furthering God’s work, rather than drawing divisive lines. Wisdom and unity are crucial in our spiritual journey. Wisdom demands humility and resilience, guiding us through trials. Unity calls for an open heart, recognizing and embracing the good in others, fostering a collaborative spirit.
PRAYER: Abba Father, guide us in unity and wisdom. Amen.
