Extend mercy, and love
  • Exodus 32:7-14
  • Psalm 106:19-23
  • John 5:31-47

In today’s first reading, we see people worshipping a golden calf. Moses, knowing God’s power and possibility, tried to pacify the situation by pleading with God and interceding for the people. God became merciful to his people. This incident looks like a discussion of a company Chairperson and a Floor manager about the wrongdoings of the Staff. I can easily relate to this with my staff. I get annoyed and angry when the staff do not do their work properly. I can close the company and live a comfortable life at 40. But I have chosen not to, for a few reasons,

  1. Jesus forgave me no matter what I did.
  2. If I close the company, the staff will have no jobs in the same field.
  3. I will be redirecting the purpose of all according to my will not God’s will.

Do not forget, that Jesus died on the cross for all without conditions. Let us extend mercy, and love, so that others may be drawn to the gift of salvation. This will be possible with the strength God gives us.

PRAYER: Abba Father, make me pure in your eyes and align me with your will. Amen.
