In today’s Gospel proclamation Jesus asks Peter: “Do you Love me?” He is asking the same question from us also. What is our answer going to be? Do we really love him? Do we really feed his children? We say that we love Jesus but it is often limited to words. He also asks us to feed His children, and that is our responsibility as believers. How are we to love him? How are we to feed his children? We need to realize that Jesus loves us always, we need to believe it and sit at His feet every day to be nourished by His love. God is love, without his love we cannot feed his children, and feeding is not only about earthly food but also spiritual food like love, mercy, compassion and peace. Therefore, when we start to spend time with him and knowing that we are loved by God, then we could feed his children without any bar- riers and we can share his fraternal love with the whole world. Let us love our neighbours, start with one person at a time, it is not the quantity but the quality of our love and service, that matters more.
Prayer: Abba Father, help us to feed your children, give us the courage to reach out to the needy and to build your kingdom on earth. Amen.
