In today’s first reading we see how God has given us many promises, and assurances: he protects us, he never forsakes us and he provides for us. Our merciful Father does not want to see the suffering of his beloved children. He is Love, and we belong to him. As scripture says: he knows our coming and going. Everything lies open before him. We need to trust him, even when it is difficult. Often we may be tempted, we may fall down, or get caught up in illusions, because we are used to following our desires considering them as the best way to reach victory. The Lord is telling us not to waste our time and energy, striving alone. Instead let us trust in him. While we work, earn for our families, look after our children, let us remember that God is with us. Let us hold on to his promises which bring us peace and freedom. Let us focus our minds on the Lord and praise him every moment because he is there for us and he would never abandon us.
PRAYER: Abba Father, thank you for strengthening me. Amen.
