Humble Shepherds
  • Ezekiel 34:1-11
  • Psalm 23:1-6
  • Matthew 20:1-16

In Psalm 23 the Lord reminds us that he is our Eternal Shepherd, no matter what we face in life, whatever challenges and obstacles, he will be our Lord and will gently take care of us. If we look back at our journey of life, we see how he has shepherded us, through our parents, teachers, friends and relatives. At times, even our school friends have come to our side to console and strengthen us. When we thought there was no answer, he always gives us an amazing response, beyond anything we can imagine. As long as we have Jesus the Good Shepherd alongside us, we need not be afraid, for he will lead us through green pastures. In the Lord’s Kingdom, “the last will be first, and the first will be last”. Therefore our earthly positions are useless in the eyes of the Lord. We are to become humble servants as we become shepherds in the places the Lord has placed us in. Let us learn from the Good Shepherd and become gentle and loving people who will lead many to Christ.

PRAYER: Abba Father, may I be a humble servant in your kingdom. Amen.
