Money was in the mind of Judas, his obsession to possess it drove him to betray Jesus. If only Judas learned to detach himself from the love of money he would not have faced a gruesome death. But he chose to be enslaved by money. Martha did not choose money over Jesus she instead preferred to serve him. Mary preferred to anoint Jesus with expensive perfume. If we want our lives to be serene and peaceful let us prefer Jesus over the desire to have money. What do we prioritize on the Lord’s day; money or God? Money will never satisfy us, the more that we have the more
we would desire it. There is no end to the vicious cycle brought about by love for money. The more that we desire money the more our lives would become complicated, stressful and problematic. Let us try to detach ourselves from the love of money and attach ourselves to Jesus our Lord. We would then see the positive impact that it will bring into our lives.
PRAYER: Abba Father, let us be a part of the mission to bring good news, vision and freedom to those who need them. Amen.
