Jesus never fails
  • Ezekiel 2:8--3:4
  • Psalm 119:14,24,72,103,111,131
  • Matthew 18:1-5,10,12-14

I have seen billboards proclaiming: “Jesus never fails”. Initially, it seemed like a personal faith declaration. But its resonance deepened in recent years as my faith grew strong through the study of God’s word. God lovingly offers us his word to penetrate our thoughts and minds, and guide our actions. Ezekiel obediently complies before addressing a challenging audience in Israel. It is essential to immerse ourselves in his word, to shape our thoughts and receive wisdom and direction. This word offers solace and comfort in difficult times, elevates our faith, opening the door to
miracles and breakthroughs. The Gospel reading shows God’s boundless love. How fortunate we are to have a God whose love desires that none of us would be lost. Jesus advises caution in interactions with society’s most vulnerable members, urging us to approach little children with love and mercy. He encourages a childlike attitude of humility and loving obedience, essential in our faith journey.

PRAYER: Abba Father, grant us the grace to mold our thoughts and actions according to your Word. Amen.
