We are people of the resurrection and are children of the living God; therefore we are bold and courageous like Peter and John. We are called, chosen and pre-destined to be witnesses of the Risen Lord. Today’s Psalm is our victorious song. We are the people of “Alleluia”. Do we believe that we are victorious children of the living God? We often live defeated lives. Let us remember that suffering does not end in death but in resurrection. We are called to sing the song of Alleluia and step out of our comfort zones. We are witnesses of Jesus. Mary Magdalene became the first evangelist. The two disciples whom the Lord Jesus met in the countryside became the next evangelists. Their proclamation was that Jesus of Nazareth who was crucified, has risen! This is the Kerygma (proclamation) of Christianity; Jesus is risen and alive. We are called to experience Jesus and become his witnesses. The Lord says to us; “Go into the world and proclaim the Gospel to all creatures”, let us obey the command of Christ as his disciples did.
Prayer: Abba Father, I prostrate at your feet and say; “I was born to do your will, O God”. Amen.
