Love and Goodness of Jesus
  • Hebrews 2:14-18
  • Psalm 105:1-4,6-9
  • Mark 1:29-39

Jesus humbled himself to become human, so that he can fully identify and share himself with us and become one with us. He was tempted and he is able to help us when we face temptations. Jesus experienced death, destroyed the effects of the intimidating accuser and won eternal life. Jesus defeated the fear of death and set free all those who live in bondage to the tormenting fears of death and delivered us from all fears. In the Gospel reading Jesus shows how much he loves and cares for us. No sooner had he heard about Simon’s mother-in-law, did he rush to heal her. Sometimes I question myself, is it the right time to ask Jesus’ help? Will he be able to do this for me now? Jesus’ love is unlimited and no time can restrict the love he has for me. Jesus never compromised the time he spent with his Father. Jesus went to secluded places to spend time in prayer at dawn and dusk. How often do I find excuses when it comes to prayer?

PRAYER: Abba Father, thank you for your love and goodness.
Amen.
