In today’s first reading, we witness God’s promise of a new creation, a world free from past troubles and filled with joy and delight. This vision of a trans-formed reality where sorrow and pain are no more reminds us of God’s un-wavering love and the hope of renewal. As we journey through Lent, we are called to embrace this promise, reflecting on areas in our lives that need trans-formation. The new heavens and new earth symbolize the possibility of starting afresh, leaving behind old ways, and stepping into a life of joy and righteousness. In the Gospel reading, we see the power of faith through the story of the official who believed Jesus could heal his son. This reading challenges us to trust in Jesus’ promises, even when we cannot see immediate results. Lent is a time to deepen our faith, to believe in the unseen and trust that God’s word will bring healing and renewal. Let us open our hearts to the new beginnings God offers and strengthen our faith in his promises.
PRAYER: Abba Father, renew our faith daily. Amen.
