Our lives might be the only Bible that some people read
  • Proverbs 3:27-34
  • Psalm 15:2-5
  • Luke 8:16-18

Today’s readings speak to us about living a life of righteousness and holiness. The first reading relates to living a blameless life and the Gospel proclamation speaks about allowing the light to shine in our hearts. It is a reminder to walk in this way not only in the eyes of others, but also when we are by ourselves. Our thoughts should be as pure as white and our actions straight forward. All the time, keeping in mind, “What will the Lord Jesus do or say in each and every moment we face”. Today’s readings invite us to be “the light that shines before others”. It is not a light of self-righteousness nor of good deeds, but a light where our lives become a living testament of the Word of God. Always keeping in mind, that our lives might be the only Holy Bible that some people read. A choice is set before us, and we need the grace of God to choose his ways and the power of the Holy Spirit to be able to say “Yes” to the Father, no matter what the circumstance.

PRAYER: Abba Father, I desire to walk in your ways and take your light to the world. Amen.
