Power of the Spirit
  • Acts 4: 23-31
  • Psalm 2:1-9
  • John 3: 1-8

Today’s Gospel reading teaches us that to enter the Kingdom of Heaven our lives have to be transformed by the Holy Spirit. By the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Holy Spirit has been made available as a gift to those who open their heart to Jesus in faith accepting him as their Lord and Saviour. Living a life filled with his Spirit will not only bless us with eternal life but will also grant us the privilege of living on earth in a supernatural manner, experiencing the miracles and wonders of the Lord. The Holy Spirit’s power cannot be limited. While personal prayer is important to be in union with the Holy Spirit, we are also reminded that living amid a community of believers will help us to inspire and be inspired. Let us therefore constantly keep surrendering our lives to God who will in turn keep on transforming us by his Holy Spirit as we walk together in fellowship with one another until we meet the Lord face to face and sit at his eternal banquet.

PRAYER: Abba Father, I surrender my life to you. Guide my actions with the power of your Spirit. Amen.
