Spotless Lamb of God
  • Exodus 12: 1-8, 11-14
  • Psalm 116: 12-13, 15-18
  • 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26
  • John 13: 1-15

Let us take a moment to gaze on the spotless Lamb, because of whom, we have been spared from the wages of death and launched into a life of salvation. More than 2000 years later, the passion of Christ burns even brighter in glory. The same body that was broken then, unites us with heaven today. The same blood that was shed then, washes us clean today. Holy communion is not a mere ritual, a mere tradition, nor an obligation, but a proclamation of the crux of our faith – that Christ died for all, and he will one day return. The One who will return, is also the One who remains with us in the now. Let us remember that we worship a God who is above our deepest suffering, but not a stranger to it. He is the One that waits with us, weeps with us, suffers with us, and hurts with us. Holding his hand, we can bear the high cost of low living. Sitting at his feet, we can walk the narrow path in hope of salvation. Abiding in him, we can look beyond Calvary, and into the empty grave of the spotless Lamb.

PRAYER: Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, make my heart like yours. Amen.
