As written in the book of the prophet Isaiah, God’s word will never return without fulfilling it’s purpose. The word is planted in our hearts to grow, bear fruit and glorify God. Jesus teaches us how to pray, addressing God as our loving Father. In the Lord’s prayer we express our deep faith and trust in him. Each word and phrase of this prayer are so rich in meaning. Jesus reminds us not to utter words like the pagans: without believing in the meaning of the words. His kingdom is where his words are fulfilled. Let us pray that our nation will be blessed each time we pray. May his words guide our people. The Psalmist confirms this by promising us that all who seek the Lord will be delivered from their fears and their needs will be provided for. He is surely making our faces radiant with joy. Our God is always close to the broken hearted and oppressed. He will guide us through all our infirmities and struggles, and we will emerge victorious in him.
PRAYER: Abba Father, we believe your words are alive and active. Give us the Holy Spirit to hold on to you. Amen.
