The Old Testament heroes were people of faith. They had faith that God would deliver them. Persecution, torture, scourging and imprisonment did not deter them from believing. These people built real history. In response to such faith God sent his Son to confront and overthrow Satan and his minions. There was a violent storm at sea when the Lord crosses into pagan territory to deliver the demoniac. Yet the Lord controls everything Satan throws at him. The One sent by God drives out a legion of demons. Something is happening in human history. Yours and mine. We can look forward with conviction that what the Old Testament people were waiting for is now our gift; the Lord Jesus. Blessed is he in our midst, to deliver us and give victory over this dark world. I too have traversed that dark world of satanic influence. Having an encounter with the Lord however, set me free. His visitation came after a long period of suffering. Yet it was worth it. Praise his name!

PRAYER: Abba Father, thank you for sending your Son to transform this world. Amen.
