We are called to be saints!
  • Revelation 7:2-4, 9-14
  • Psalm 24: 1-6
  • 1 John 3:1-3
  • Matthew 5:1-12

Today we celebrate the lives of both canonized saints and many other hidden saints whose lives have brought us faith. We have known them in our families, in our communities and our churches. The saints have showed us the way to live in faith. Their courage and witness enables our own. The saints come in all different shapes and forms; some knew Christ from a young age, others came to know him much later in life. Some were princes and others were paupers. Some were priests, others were lay people. Yet one thing remains the same, they had come to know the greatest treasure of all, the Risen Lord, and had learned to follow Christ with every breath in their body. They lived the beatitudes adapting it to their own circumstances through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Today this same call is being given to us to live a life of the beatitudes thorough the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, resting assured that the saints surround us and cheer us on.

PRAYER: Abba Father, thank you for enabling us to stand before your throne as your sons and daughters. Amen.
