We are just Passengers
  • Job 38:1, 12-21; 40: 3-5
  • Psalm 139: 1-3, 7-10, 13-14
  • Luke 10: 13-16

God who is our Father knows us well. The highlight of the first reading is that God is omnipotent and omnipresent. God is the creator of the universe and knows the beginning and the end. In an allegorical setting; if the universe is a vehicle, this vehicle was created, assembled and manufactured by God. This manufacturer let the people get into the vehicle from the beginning. We are few passengers in the
vehicle for a short distance, whereas the vehicle will keep moving and many more passengers would get into this vehicle while others would get out of the vehicle from time to time. The irony is that while we live in this world we think that we are the owners but we are not.

God made it clear to Job and the Psalm speaks of this truth too. According to the Gospel we are invited to live in this reality. We should be God centered. Our lives would not be destroyed when we live in the awareness of God’s purpose and will. In this awareness of God we would identify the miracles of God daily.

PRAYER: Abba Father, your wisdom sets me free. Amen
