Let us gaze on the One who knew his ultimate calling. Relying on and trusting another does not come naturally to oneself if obedience is not considered. Jesus closed the gap created between us and God. He gave his life as a sacrifice and he rose again on the third day. What better time than this for us to pause, reflect, and examine our lives? Let us take a moment to ask ourselves these questions ‘Have I put my faith in Jesus?’, ‘Can I see beyond the cross?’, ‘Is there anything holding me back from following him wholly?’ and ‘Am I truly living to celebrate the cross and the empty tomb?’. The world seems to be lost and broken and the people around us, in our cities and our neighbourhoods, at our jobs and schools, are looking for something real, authentic and hopeful. Let us point them to the living hope of Jesus Christ. As we reflect upon our lives, remember that our Heavenly Father who is full of grace and love is running towards us.
